Don Sipe

My loving dad and role model, Don Sipe, is in need of a liver transplant to cure him of a rare form of bile duct cancer. Since his diagnosis at the end of January, Dad has had several medical procedures to place internal and external drains to help his liver function properly. My dad has undergone radiation, and is currently receiving chemotherapy on an ongoing basis until he gets a new liver. Dad needs our help because the medical costs related to transplant are overwhelming.

My Dad retired just a year and a half ago and was looking forward to spending lots of time with his four kids and eight grandkids, swimming and traveling with my mom, singing in choir, continuing his elder role at church, and doing so much more. His only chance to return to good health is a liver transplant.

Transplants are life-saving but financially draining. In addition to the cost of the transplant itself and surrounding lab work, expensive post-transplant medications will be needed for life.

To help offset such expenses, a fundraising campaign in Dad’s honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years.
