Help Donna Return to Dance!

On December 3, 2021, Donna Bonasera suffered a stroke. She was rushed by ambulance to a Connecticut hospital where she was admitted for over a week. Fortunately, what could have been life threatening, Donna was able to return home, but with limited mobility. Four months later, Donna, being the determined woman we all know her to be, is walking on her own but is left with limited upper body strength. This has unfortunately forced her to stop teaching dance classes at various dance schools throughout CT and has forced her to close her beloved studio, Connecticut Dance Theatre, located in Watertown, CT.

Donna has trained and mentored students from all over the world, many moving onto Broadway and Executive Directors of well renowned performing art studios including Toronto National Ballet of Toronto, Texas Ballet Theater and Atlanta Ballet.

As you can imagine, the cost of Donna’s care and recovery are extreme. Even with insurance, she is facing many out-of-pocket expenses, such as ongoing rehabilitation therapy and health care. She needs your support now more than ever.

Dance is Donna’s life. So many have experienced and benefited from her dance training programs. She has been active in producing community outreach programs and performances for over 40 years.
