I Will Not Stop Fighting

My name is Donna, and I need a kidney transplant. I am very fortunate that my insurance will cover to pay for the transplant and that I have a nest egg to cover both pre and post transplant expenses. But it doesn’t cover everything and that’s why i’m here asking for your help.

I love helping and spending time with others. My family is very important to me. Being an aunt has been so fulfilling. One of my favorite things to do is go to music concerts with my husband. I enjoy it every chance I get. Currently, I am a member of Treasure Valley Calvary Chapel in Idaho. In my free time I am also working to set up a support group for dialysis patients, as there is a huge need for one in my area. I am so grateful for all the many donations that I receive, as they will assist my caregivers and I with various travel expenses due to my transplant taking place in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Once my transplant is complete, I will have to be on anti-rejection medication the rest of my life, so most of the donations I receive will go towards those medicines as well as my insurance premiums. Leading up to receiving my transplant, I have had assistance from the American Kidney Fund, however, post transplant, I will no longer be receiving their aid.
