Help Donnie’s Heart!

My name is Donnie Baumgart; I am 49 years old and the father of three children. In 2008, I was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy. My heart has only worsened over the past 14 years due to congested heart failure. Just recently, I was finally put on the heart transplant list. The money I raise will be put towards my medication, the surgery overall, and a room at the Mason Guest House in Atlanta, Georgia, where I’ll stay for a month after the surgery. The hospital requires me to stay nearby in case of complications after the transplant and possibly longer if any complications arise. These funds will also cover any expenses for food while I’m there, gas for my family to travel back and forth since I won’t be close to home, and the anti-rejection medication I will have to take for the rest of my life. I am still in the Atlanta hospital after finally completing all the testing required for the transplant. My goal is to reach $5,000. No amount is too small, and everything will be greatly appreciated!
