I NEED YOUR HELP

Hi my name is Dorlisha Carraway and in 2013 I was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension in both my lungs, I received medication and oxygen to treat my diagnosis but the side effects of the medication took a toll on my body and my health continued to go downhill fast. I was put on the transplant list in 2021.  

I received a lung transplant on June 30, 2022.  How wonderful it was to breathe again on my own with my new lungs, without an oxygen tank. Unfortunately, I got sick with pneumonia and my body rejected my new lungs and now I’m back on the transplant list.

I live in Fresno so me and my husband Marvin Carraway (thank God for him)I travel to San Francisco 2-3 times a week for treatment, leading up to my transplant.

We are asking for the prayers and love of our supportive family. We are reaching out to our church family and other community members for help as  my insurance does not cover all of my medical expenses.

My family and friends are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live in my honor to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
