Dorothy Gaither

Family and friends of Dorothy Gaither are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a Catastrophic Injury. Dorothy has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses. My mother, Dorothy Gaither is suffering from End Stage Renal Disease, which has led to severe bone deterioration. Due to severe bone loss, she suffered multiple falls that led to a hip fracture and severe fracture in her spine. As a result, she’s no longer able to walk and requires wheelchair transportation to dialysis and other medical appointments. Unfortunately, her medical insurance has put a limitation her rides and will no longer pay for her transportation to medical appointments and won’t provide transportation to dialysis after August. I’m my mother’s caregiver and we live in a remote area where public transportation is not offered, so our only option is to purchase a wheelchair van. Dialysis is a life sustaining treatment, and once my mother’s transportation is cut, she won’t survive without it. So I’m requesting help in obtaining the funds to purchase a van, before her insurance cuts her transportation off
