Dylan Hoock

Family and friends of Dylan Hoock are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.

Dylan has struggled with a hereditary metabolic disease his entire life. He has had to live life by a clock in order to survive. He required corn starch doses every four hours day or night. This disease also causes liver cancer in young adults. Dylan was diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma in July 2021 and requires a liver transplant.

Dylan temporarily has Medicaid but this will not continue following the transplant. Anti-rejection drugs and post transplant costs can cost as much as $5000 a month. In addition, transportation and lodging expenses for him and his caregiver are not covered.

Dylan has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors.
