Earl Reynolds

As a husband, father of three and grandfather of seven, Earl is an integral member of his family who was recently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), a chronic autoimmune disease that damages the protective coating of nerves. MS can lead to vision problems, impaired coordination and difficulty walking, all of which are symptoms experienced by Earl resulting in the use of permanent mobility devices such as scooters and wheelchairs. Since his diagnosis, Earl and his wife have adjusted their lives to manage the quick progression of the disease including a partial remodel to essential living areas to make the home more accessible. Despite these adaptations, Earl is limited to a few rooms in the home and is rarely able to leave the house, impacting his quality of life. Unsurprisingly, this also negatively affects his wife and primary caregiver. In an effort to restore quality of life for both Earl and his wife, family and friends are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses related to his MS diagnosis. The family has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses needed to help Earl live life with MS.
