Elaine King Needs Your Help

Elaine was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy at age 24. For those that don’t know, Muscular Dystrophy is a disease that causes progressive muscle loss and weakness. There is no cure for this rare disease and the effects of this illness are devastating as damaged muscles become weaker over time. As of now, there are only treatments to help ease the effects of the disease. Elaine is about 65 pounds and can barely walk. She can no longer feed herself, shower and do the everyday things we take for granted. We are launching this campaign to help with medical expenses not covered by insurance. Elaine needs home care, physical therapy, medicine, medical meals and special equipment to handicap proof her home to make her as comfortable as we can as the disease progresses.

We all love Elaine because of her fierce spirit that inspires so many of us to never give up, even during the worst of times. For all those times she has sacrificed her time to help others. We can’t cure Elaine, but we can help ease the financial burden and resultant stress that the she is facing.
