Elisha Needs Your Help!

My wife, Elisha Herring, is a 31-year-old mother of two who is in need of a kidney transplant and she needs the help of her community to make it happen. Transplants are lifesaving but very expensive.

Four years ago, Elisha was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease. She is completely dependent on dialysis, which she undergoes every single day. As you can imagine, it exhausts her so Elisha has had to cut back her work hours at the daycare. Her doctor explained the only option to survive is a kidney transplant. With your help, Elisha is hoping she will receive this gift of life, to be able to watch our two children Amaria, 12-years-old and Tyseanda, 16-years-old grow up. Children are her passion. She dreams of someday going to college and to open her own childcare center.

Transplants are lifesaving but financially draining. Even with insurance, Elisha is facing very high expenses including travel to and from the center, lodging, astronomically expensive post-transplant medications, insurance premiums, co-pays and more.
To help with the financial burden of Elisha’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in her honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years.
