Family and friends of Elizabeth Diamond are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a Catastrophic Illness. Elizabeth has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.

Liz is fundraising for accessible transportation, home modifications, and ongoing medical supplies and equipment to improve safety and autonomy.

Liz has significant mobility limits related to underlying medical conditions and requires significant support to safely manage daily activities both at home and in the community. Maintaining daily life requires increasingly restrictive limits, and existing supports are no longer sufficient. Additional support is needed to improve safety, access, and day-to-day functioning.

The most immediate needs fall into three areas: accessible transportation through a wheelchair-accessible vehicle with adaptive driving equipment, improved accessibility and safety at home through modifications (such as a ramp and potentially additional changes), and ongoing medical supplies and equipment that are not fully covered by insurance.

Having these supports in place would allow Liz to navigate both home and community with greater safety and autonomy. This would make it possible to more reliably and consistently access medical care, maintain daily activities and community connections, reduce injury risk and pain, and lessen isolation over time.
