Frances Davis

Dear Family and Friends,

Many of you may know that my mother, Frances, is in need of a kidney transplant. She is a very strong and determined woman who has been living with end stage kidney disease since 2005. For the past seven years she’s been doing dialysis three times a week. Frances has endured many hospitalizations, surgeries and complications due to her condition and a kidney transplant is now her only option to survive. Through all of this her love for her children, grandchildren, her precious pets and her faith have kept her going. Her never-give-up attitude motivates us all.

As of right now Frances is on the kidney transplant list at UMC (University Medical Center). Due to the high cost of transplantation paying for this surgery will be extremely difficult. Even though she has insurance a great majority of her medical costs will have to come from her own pocket. Some of the things we expect not to be covered are her life-long needed anti-rejection medicines, transportation to the transplant center for checkups and after care. With all these impending costs there is no way that Frances can do this on her own.
