Frank Blemler III

Dear Friends and Family,

For those that do not know Frank he is very much into the outdoors and enjoys being around his friends and family. Twelve years ago Frank went through his first transplant when his body started shutting out his organs. They still to this day do not know what virus caused this to happen. But he was very lucky then to be able to get his mother’s kidney.

February 1 2018 Frank went to the hospital to have further test due to his creatinine levels being too high. He was admitted to the hospital that day and the doctors were running different test and putting him on different medications to see if they could reverse his body rejecting his kidney, but that did not work.

They put his port in while in the hospital so he could start dialysis. He currently goes to dialysis three days a week and is there for about 3 1/2 hours each session. He still currently works but is on restrictions since he works in a sand quarry and can not get his port dirty and he can’t do heavy lifting. Dialysis takes a lot out of a person.

Frank had people step up and call and go through being tested. He found out that his brother is a perfect match and we are so glad that Frank will be able to get to normal very soon. The surgery date is January 15, 2019. almost a year from when he first found out that his body was rejecting his kidney.
