Frank Giammona II

On June 6th, 2020 Frank Giammona II was blessed with a lifesaving heart transplant. He is currently recovering in the hospital at Mayo in Phoenix, AZ. He has had a few setbacks but is making progress towards being released. After leaving the hospital, Frank will be in temporary housing close to Mayo Hospital for the many follow up visits, tests, and rehab for at least 6 weeks.

Frank was first diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy after he contracted Valley Fever more than 15 years ago. His condition worsened as time went by and he had to have a Pacemaker and Defibrillator implanted. He has always lived a positive and productive life, as best he could, despite his health condition. Frank is an avid sports fan and loves to play golf and ride his motorcycle. We are hoping this opportunity he has been given will enable him to continue being the happy, positive person he has always been.

While Frank has health insurance, many transplant expenses are not paid for. Deductibles and copays for lifelong medications, lodging for the 6 weeks close to the hospital, home health care and rehab, are just a few. Frank is fortunate to have many family and friends that support him with prayers and well wishes, and now he needs financial support.

To help with the financial burden of Frank’s heart transplant, a fundraising campaign in his honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising for more than 30 years.
