Freddie Needs Your Help!

Freddie Hale is a 50-year-old man who has lived with diabetes for the better part of almost 20 years. Over the generations, there has been a long family history of diabetes. However, 3 years ago Freddie’s world was turned upside down when his kidneys started failing; now they only function at 6%. The only reason he’s alive today, is because of his dialysis treatment three times a week.

Freddie grew up around Parma, Idaho, where his parents Fred and Trudy Hale still currently reside. Freddie has two grown children Zach 28 and Alex 25. Freddie has 2 amazing grandsons named Caiden 5 & Carsen 1. Freddie also has been in a long-term committed relationship with his fiancee’ Christa for 8 years and they live in Nampa, Idaho with her three children. He’s an incredible singer, he loves camping and fishing and he’ll be able to enjoy these favorite activities to the fullest with the help of a new kidney. More than that, Freddie is looking forward to lots of time with his grandchildren and to a future wedding with Christa!

Freddie continues to work at Lowe’s in Nampa, all the while he continues to go to dialysis 3 times a week. This wipes him out completely. Though he has insurance, it isn’t near enough to cover all the medical expenses pre- and post- surgery. The transplant alone runs in excess of $150,000 and that’s not including the anti-rejection pills that run more than $36,000 every year that Freddie will have to take the rest of his life! Here is where your help is desperately needed!

To help with the financial burden of Freddie’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in his honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law, are held by Help Hope Live in the Northwest Kidney Transplant Fund, and are administered by Help Hope Live for transplant-related expenses only.
