Glenn Armstrong

Family and friends of Glenn Armstrong are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a Transplant. Glenn has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.

Glenn Armstrong has always been the kind of person who lights up the room when he walks in. His humor and wit immediately starts to make everyone laugh. From the time he was a kid growing up in Clifton Heights, Glenn stood out. He was a good friend, adventurous, funny and a terrific athlete. He would spend most days playing with friends and adults all throughout the Clifton Heights area.

As a young man, Glenn found his passion on the baseball field. He was a standout third baseman at Upper Darby High School, earning All Delco and All Central League honors and played all four years on the basketball team, the last two as a starter, before graduating in 1980. His love for the game never faded—it’s still a part of who he is. That same grit and focus that made him a great ballplayer carried over into the rest of his life.

For over 30 years, Glenn worked as a dedicated union member at Weinstein Plumbing Supply. He never cut corners, never complained—just showed up, worked hard, and gave his all to the people around him. If you’ve ever had the privilege of working alongside Glenn, you know: he’s the guy who’d give you the shirt off his back.

A few years ago, Glenn faced one of life’s biggest curveballs—cancer. And true to form, he battled through it with quiet courage and resilience. He beat it. But now, Glenn is facing another serious challenge: he’s in need of a liver transplant.

This time, he needs our help.

Glenn has spent a lifetime giving to others—through his friendship, his humor, the thousands of block pools he ran and his unshakable kindness. Now, it’s our turn to give back. Medical bills for a transplant are overwhelming and Glenn can’t face this alone. He would never ask for help, but those of us who love him know that this is the time to step up.
