Grace Burnham

Family and friends of Grace Burnham are raising money through the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses. Grace has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.

Recently, Grace’s medical expenses have increased as she is paying between $500 and $1000 per month for direct care provider who has really helped. She has also needed private testing to verify her autism diagnosis in order to get the accommodations she needs to access medical care. As she is pursuing treatment for a dysautonomia, she also needs to find a private neurologist who can more specifically diagnose and treat her neurological symptoms.

Grace also needs round the clock care and help with changing diapers and caring for her basic physical needs such as eating, drinking and bathing. We’re are looking for private home healthcare to supplement the hours the state provides.

We’re seeing a light at the end of the tunnel as we find hope in treatments that we know are out there that will help Grace lead a better life.
