Hannah Burnett

Family and friends of Hannah Burnett are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a Catastrophic Illness. Hannah has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live.

Hannah Burnett is a joyful and resilient 21-year-old whose smile brightens every room. She lives with Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type 20, a rare progressive disorder that affects her coordination, mobility, and ability to communicate. Even with these challenges, Hannah continues to show strength, humor, and so much love for the people around her.

Her family has spent years serving the disability community. Her mom, Courtney, teaches workshops for parents, advocates on Capitol Hill regularly, and supports families navigating the same challenges they face every day. They are always giving to others.

But right now, they need help too.

Their wheelchair-accessible van, the only way Hannah can safely leave the house and attend her many medical appointments, recently had its engine fail. 

Without this van, Hannah faces isolation, missed care, and huge disruptions to daily life. This unexpected breakdown has added significant financial stress during an already difficult financial season for the family.

We are fundraising through the nonprofit Help Hope Live because donations are tax-deductible for contributors and will only be used for Hannah’s medical and related expenses, including the urgent cost of replacing her van.

The Burnett family has shown up for so many over the years. Today, we have the chance to show up for them.
