On July 2nd, I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) with mixed phenotypes. This means that I have to have a bone marrow transplant to survive. I have a wonderful husband, Mckinley, and beautiful little girl, Megan, who need me.

I am a Clinical Laboratory Scientist who has been performing research in a stem cell lab for others and suddenly I am now on the receiving end. I am determined to use this experience to fuel my drive to help other patients who find themselves diagnosed with ALL.

With all medical events there is a huge financial burden. I am currently unable to work. There is so many costs associated with chemotherapy and transplant. After my transplant, I will need a caregiver 24/7 in addition to providing care for Megan.
