I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to you today with a deeply personal request for your support in a time of great need.

Two years ago, I was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney disease, a condition that has significantly impacted my life and health. Multiple medications, surgeries, and daily peritoneal dialysis performed by myself at home became commanding and imperative components of my day-to-day existence. Despite all efforts, my kidneys have now reached a critical stage where a transplant is essential for me to continue living a healthy life. This news has been daunting, but I remain hopeful and determined to overcome this challenge with the support of my friends, family, and community.

Kidney disease affects millions worldwide, often silently and progressively. As someone directly impacted, I’ve come to understand firsthand the physical, emotional, and financial toll it takes. My medical bills, costly medications, dialysis treatments, insurance coverage gap payments, and pre-transplant care costs have been substantial. These financial hardships coupled with the loss of income due to an inability to work full-time has been truly overwhelming and ultimately has depleted my savings.

I recently learned that before I am able to proceed with phase one of the transplant process, the transplant center is requiring me to pay $5,000. In light of this, I am reaching out to you, my community, for assistance. In the coming weeks, I will be selling bracelets and t-shirts to meet this initial fundraising target. Your support and generous donations can make a profound difference in helping me afford the critical medical care needed to undergo a kidney transplant. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings me closer to the possibility of a healthier future.
