Family and friends of Hiderro Mays are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplant. Hiderro has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.Hiderro’s StoryHello, everyone my name is Hiderro Mays. I’m a father to 1 special little girl named Heaven. I’m 31 years old, and I was diagnosed with End Stage Kidney Failure in December 2021. I also started dialysis in 2021. I have been patiently waiting on my health to improve with medication, exercising, and having to change into a strict diet. The truth of matter is I’m in need of a kidney transplant. Outside of my health, I enjoy spending time with my partner, and our little girl. Damioy means a lot to me. We enjoy watching movies together as one. My life partner always say I’m the glue of the family, and it makes me feel so special I can be the shining light in their life. Since my diagnosis I struggle with playing sports or any activities my little girl wants to play. I get short of breath quick, and not being able to get out there and run with her makes me feel so sad in the inside. I have very hard days after dialysis treatments. I don’t have any energy to spend time with my family, because of the draining everyday life of doing dialysis. I’m asking for help with fundraising for my kidney transplant. My life partner and I will have to rearrange our whole life after transplant surgery. We currently live three hours away from the transplant center. After a successful surgery we would have to stay close by, just to keep a close eye on by my doctors, and make sure the kidney is not being rejected by my body. With that being explained, that means the cost of staying close by for that long period time would require after post transplant housing expense, as well as medication and travel expenses. After transplant surgery I hope to have more energy for my family, and get back to doing things such as fishing, one of the things I love, without having to take breaks in between.Please donate to Help Hope Live in Hiderro’s honor today.
