Holly Bayol

Holly is 59 years old and in desperate need of a lung transplant.

Family and friends of Holly Bayol are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation. She was diagnosed with severe COPD back in 2014, when she was in the hospital for respiratory failure and was in a coma for three weeks. Since then she has been in and out of the hospital. Her lungs are only functioning at 23% and currently on oxygen 24/7.

There are a lot of things she used to be able to do and cannot do anymore without running out of breath. Basic household chores, etc. She would love to just be able to take her dogs for long walks like they used to do.

Currently she was told from her lung Dr told that she has about 12-14 months without this transplant. With this transplant she will gain 6 plus years. She will also be able to work again.

Holly was told that the good news is that she is sick enough to need this transplant and healthy enough to survive.

We are asking family and friends to join us in fundraising through this nonprofit “Help Hope Live” to help with critical expenses that she will face immediately after surgery. This will be to cover a place to stay near the hospital where she will be required to be for six weeks in San Francisco. She has health coverage but a lot is not covered such as medication that she will need for life. If we can raise $5,000- $10,000, this would be a huge financial burden lifted off her shoulders allowing her to focus on a speedy recovery.
