Help Hope receive her kidney transplant.

Dear Friends and Family,

As some of you may know, Hope has been suffering from end-stage renal disease for several years and has been on dialysis for the last year. She is a wife and mother and is now courageously taking classes in an effort to receive her dialysis treatments at home so that she can spend more time with her children. Hope has been told that her only chance at a healthy life is to have a kidney transplant and she is currently on the active transplant waiting list at Carolinas Medical Center.

Hope is determined to fight for her life and attributes this inner strength to the support of family and friends in addition to her unwavering faith. This strength is an inspiration to all of us who know her.

Even with insurance, Hope will have many uninsured transplant-related expenses such as: co-pays and deductibles, doctor visits, travel to and from the transplant center and the costly immunosuppressant medications that she will need to take for the rest of her life. This presents a financial challenge that Hope cannot meet alone.

To help with this financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Hope’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the South-Atlantic Kidney Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only.
