Help Hope Get back to work!

Hope Hein is my wife of 36 years. Born blind, she has had more than her share of challenges in this world, yet she has managed to raise a family and hold a number of jobs both in government and in the private sector. She is also an accomplished singer with a degree in voice performance from the prestigious Oberlin Conservatory of music.

In recent years, she has developed a condition known as diabetic neuropathy that causes much pain in her legs that prevents her from walking any distance or standing for more than a few minutes. As a result, she must now use a wheelchair to get around. For any travel outside the house, she has been prescribed a power chair for travel outside the house. In addition, a ramp is needed to access the house. Home modifications are needed to use the chair inside the house. In order for Hope to be able to go to work , a wheelchair accessible van will also be needed. These things are beyond our income, but are necessary for her to return to the workforce.
Family and friends of Hope Hein are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with Catastrophic Illness.
