Help Jaime SEE Her Miracle

Jaime Ash, full of life and always a source of hope and light, is seeing the world around slowly fade away. Without your help, doctors have told her she will soon lose her sight and become permanently blind. Your donations to help Jaime receive sight-saving stem cell transplant treatment is what she is now depending on. While the medical science of today has provided an answer, the treatment is extremely expensive and out of reach without the help of loving and caring people like you.

Being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in 2007, Jaime has fought this debilitating disease for almost a decade. Through the years of fighting this disease, she has overcome great pain and physical limitations, while still being able to raise her children. However, the monster of M.S. has not given up, and in a tragic turn of events it is the conclusion of her doctors that without a miracle she will soon lose her sight due to optic nerve atrophy caused by M.S. Jaime believes in miracles and looks forward to watching her children graduate, see her grandchildren’s beautiful eyes and smiles, and see the beauty her future holds.

After many years of helping other, Jaime needs your help! The stem cell transplant treatment Jaime has been approved for, gives hope for saving her sight, but the expenses are astronomical. Using adult stem cells from her own body (not fetal stem cells), the science has shown promising results in many patients, but due to the nature of the treatment and the cutting edge science driving it, the expense is enormous. Along with large team of scientists and medical doctors involved in the process, there are lab fees, hospital and clinician charges, as well as travel expenses to go back and forth between her home in Texas and the treatment center in San Diego, California. The sum out of pocket expenses for this treatment will be $20,000. For one family, this amount is insurmountable, but if we all contribute what we can, this amount is nothing that the human spirit and community cooperation can’t overcome. This is where Jaime needs your help!

To help offset such expenses, a fundraising campaign in Jaime’s honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law, are held by Help Hope Live in the South-Central Stem Cell Transplant Fund, and are administered by Help Hope Live for transplant-related expenses only.
