James Christopher

James is currently hospitalized, awaiting a life-saving liver transplant. He has been fighting with a fatty liver since his 20’s, due to a metabolic condition. James had been trying to manage his health with medications, diet, and additional medical treatments, but ultimately, his condition worsened.James is a husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. He spent 10 years helping others as a nurse until sepsis damaged his liver.Since the liver failure, James has had to remain in the hospital and is unable to work. He needs assistance with expenses that insurance doesn’t cover, such as co-pays, housing, and travel. Additionally, James will have to be on life-long medications.James enjoys camping and exploring the great outdoors. He loves showing everyone his new camping gear and can talk for hours about camping. Additionally, many Saturday nights, you would find James playing board games with his family. Within the last couple of years, James’s family, who, after 20 years of living in different states, are all back together, living just a short distance from each other. James appreciates being able to spend time with his family not just for the big things like holidays and birthdays, but for the little moments of just because.James has chosen to fundraise with the nonprofit Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.
