Help Bring Jim Kent Home: A Lifeline for Jim’s Recovery

On what should have been a joyful family trip to Italy, Jim Kent’s life took an unexpected and devastating turn. While traveling with his loved ones, Jim suffered a life-threatening cerebral hemorrhage/brain bleed causing a serious stroke. Now, his family faces the heartbreaking reality of needing to bring him back to the U.S. for ongoing specialized medical care in a Philadelphia hospital that provides intense rehabilitation.

The Situation For the past 22 days, Jim has been receiving emergency care in Italy. Due to his serious condition, he urgently needs to be transferred back to the United States for continued medical care and intense rehabilitation. The only way to safely transport him back is through a medical ICU equipped ambulance aircraft which comes with a significant cost of $150,000. As they navigate the emotional and financial burden of this crisis, they are turning to their community for help. Friends of Jim Kent are raising money through the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a Catastrophic Illness. Jim has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.
