Two glimmers of hope! Two miracles!

After 20 years of suffering from a genetic disorder, Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD), and years on the transplant waitlist, Jean Paige finally has the promise of a kidney donor. And so does another lucky person on the transplant list!

As part of the Paired Exchange Program, daughter Erin’s kidney will be matched to a waitlist recipient, in turn securing her mom a donor kidney. Two lives saved! Now, there’s an urgent need to raise financial support very quickly to make this double miracle a reality. Funds must be in place prior to transplant approval. So, we’re asking family and friends for their immediate help in fundraising, through the nonprofit Help Hope Live, to cover Jean’s critical post-transplant costs.

Despite her many health challenges, Jean, a single mother, raised two strong and amazing daughters, Erin and Britney. Once an active teacher, retail worker and actor, Jean’s PKD has worsened, restricting her to a life of dialysis and disability. Now, with Erin’s selfless gift of a kidney, Jean has the opportunity to get her health and life back, return to the workforce and embrace her upcoming role as a new grandma. Daughter, Britney, is expecting a baby girl this coming spring!

While Jean has health insurance, many post-transplant expenses are simply not covered. This vital fundraising campaign will provide for medication, co-pays, transportation to and from doctor appointments, hospital parking fees, food, and home health care related costs.
