Family and friends of Jeanne Rappsilber are raising money for the non-profit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses and housing support relocation associated with the heart transplant. Jeanne has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used for medical and related expenses.

Jeanne’s story

I am currently facing one of the biggest battles of my life: I am in need of a heart transplant. This journey has pushed me physically, emotionally, and financially in ways I never imagined. Despite the challenges, I’m fighting every day to stay strong for myself and the people I love. A transplant is my chance at a longer, healthier life — a chance to breathe easier, be present, and move forward with hope. While insurance helps with some parts of the process, it does not cover many of the essential costs that come before, during, and after transplant surgery. That’s why I’m reaching out for support from contributors and all donations are tax deductible.

How Your Support Will Help.

Your contribution will go directly toward:

• Medical expenses not fully covered by insurance (co-pays, deductibles, and pre-transplant testing)

• Post-transplant medications, which are lifelong and extremely costly

• Temporary housing and travel required to be near the transplant center before and after surgery

• Home care, medical supplies, and equipment needed during recovery

• Loss of income during the long recovery period when I am unable to work
