Jenna’s Journey to a Kidney

Jennifer (Jenna) Baker is in need of a living kidney donation. Jenna was diagnosed at the age of 29 with chronic kidney disease. She currently is in Stage 4 of the disease and will need to start dialysis in the future. Jenna is married to Rob and they have a sweet little 4-year-old named Maisie. They also have 2 cocker spaniels named Pan and Echo. Jenna is a kindergarten teacher and is loved by her fellow teachers, students, and their families.

In order for Jenna to continue with a relatively normal life, she needs to have a life-saving kidney transplant. Studies have shown that live kidney donations are more successful than cadaver transplants. Without a transplant, Jenna’s life will be majorly impacted with the need to go on dialysis to help her stay alive. Jenna’s insurance will cover the transplant, but not without thousands of dollars in co-pays for doctors’ visits, blood draws, and medications. After her transplant, she will need to take anti-rejection medications for the rest of her life which are extremely expensive.

Jenna has been on the transplant list for 3 years now, with the average person waiting 3-5 years. Please help us to find a living donor for Jenna!
