Jenny Needs Your Help!

Jennifer (Jenny) Lynn Cooper is a brave 34-year-old that has been blessed with a kidney pancreas transplant on November 5th, 2017.

Her battle began at the tender age of 5 when she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. By July of 2014, Jenny’s kidney function had declined to such a point that a kidney/pancreas transplant was necessary for her survival. Over three years of extensive tests and waiting on the transplant list, while remaining off of dialysis, she was blessed with 2 wonderful organs- thanks to her special donor!

Qualifying for the transplant eligibility was just the first steps of an emotional and lengthy process. In addition to the much needed emotional support and prayers, Jenny needs financial help to cover the extensive uninsured expenses involved such as travel costs to and from the center, relocation closer to the hospital, anti-rejection medications she will need to take for the rest of her life, co-pays, and more. Jenny has a beautiful and positive attitude about all of this. She has always been more concerned about others than herself. Her beautiful smile and infectious laugh make everyone happy just to be near her. You can help Jenny’s dream of good health come true with your support. To help with the financial burden of Jenny’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in her honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 36 years. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law, are held by Help Hope Live in the Southeast Transplant Fund, and are administered by Help Hope Live for transplant-related expenses only. {Hi, my name is Trish and I am Jennifer’s mother. I would like to take a moment to tell you about my beautiful and kind-hearted daughter who needs our help and support. Jenny has always been there to help others around her, whether you are related to her or a total stranger she will give of herself, her time, shoulder to cry on or just a sympathetic ear. Growing up she was the oldest of four children and helped me with her brothers and sister, and still to this day if they can’t reach mom for advice they turn to Jenny. Amazingly as a child she never complained about having to check her blood or having to take shots, not even about a restricted diet. I have always felt blessed to have her for my daughter and look forward to her having a bright future and being able to do the things that she deserves. She has two step-children whom she adores and they adore her as well. As her kidney function declines she is not able to be as active with them and this breaks her heart.
