Family and friends of Jennifer Kershner are raising money to pay for uninsured medical expenses associated with her recent kidney transplant.

Hi, my name is Jen; I’m fundraising because, on 5/24/2022, I finally received my kidney transplant after ten years of being on dialysis. I was lucky to receive a perfect match, and my surgery was hugely successful. Recovery from a kidney transplant is very intense. My husband and I drive 4 hrs to Pittsburgh and spend a night in a hotel to be ready for my appointment the following day. Then go 4 hours back home after the meetings,. My checkups will be going on every week for several months to ensure all is well. We will need help with travel and hotel expenses because gas prices are incredibly high, as are rooms in Pittsburgh by the hospital. However, I believe God gave me a second chance for a reason and that all things are possible with God! I will now be able to see my grandson, Forrest and granddaughter, Freya grow up, then graduate high school and college.

This has been hard to share and ask for assistance, but my family needs it, and we will appreciate any help.
