Jeremy Gelb

Anyone who has met Jeremy Gelb knows that he’s an intelligent, athletic, kind, and determined young man. A resident of Huntington, alumnus of Huntington High School, and recent graduate of the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, Jeremy has been working in New York and thriving in this exciting new chapter of his life.

On July 4th, at the beach with his family and friends, Jeremy dove into deceptively shallow water and suffered a broken back. He was airlifted to the trauma center in Stony Brook, diagnosed with an incomplete C-4 and C-5 spinal cord injury, and underwent an emergency 7 hour surgery. After weeks in the ICU, Jeremy will need extensive treatment at a rehab facility in the hopes of regaining his mobility.  

Jeremy’s incredible spirit and resilience will help him greatly during this harrowing journey, but he has a long road ahead of him and needs our support. Even with insurance, the out of pocket expenses are extreme.
