My husband, Jimmie Lucas, desperately needs your help.

Jimmie’s 5 year battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis has come to a critical point. His lungs are failing and he needs a double lung transplant to survive.

We’re asking family and friends to join us in fundraising for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to help with critical expenses Jimmie will face immediately after surgery, including the cost of lodging near the transplant center where he is required to relocate for a minimum of 3 months or more following his discharge from the hospital.

The cost of this will be a minimum of $15,000. He will also have the cost of antirejection medication and other medications for the rest of his life.

Jimmie has always lived a positive, Christian, and productive life. He is a brick mason and a musician. He loves to play music to entertain others. The attached picture shows this. Jimmie was in the hospital for his lungs, but he’s playing music to entertain the doctors, nurses, and other patients.

Donations to Help Hope Live can ease the financial burden of a transplant. It will allow Jimmie to focus on a healthy recovery and a long life ahead to share his music with others.

Our family and friends are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live in honor of Jimmie, to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
