Kidney disease. A life changing diagnosis. Most of us never think about what our kidneys do. What happens when they fail? First dialysis, then a transplant. Learning a new way of living is difficult enough, but waiting for someone generous enough to donate a kidney may be the hardest part.

We rely on family, friends we are close to and friends we don’t know yet to help.

Our “family” has chosen the Help Hope Live organization to assist us with the monumental task of raising funds to help with all the non-covered expenses associated with a kidney transplant. The funds collected through the campaign will be used to help with the many costs incurred before, during, and after a transplant.

Some of the expenses include housing and transportation for both the recipient and the donor. A transplant will require each to have a hospital stay, related doctor visits for several weeks, and housing and food during those stays. Consider being a donor so someone can live well.
