JOE McGOVERN’S LIVER TRANSPLANT JOURNEY

Joe McGovern has been a friend to many of us, a son, a brother, a husband, a father, a good buddy, a joyful New Yorker, a faithful companion.

Now he needs our help.

In January 2015, Joe was diagnosed with serious advanced liver disease which will require a life-saving transplant. He has been accepted by the liver transplant team at Miami Transplant Institute in Miami, Florida, and is currently awaiting that call which will change his life.

The miracle of transplantation is amazing and beautiful, but the cost of transplant surgery and the medical expenses before and following are extremely high and only partially covered by insurance. Joe’s loved ones and supporters are raising money to help pay for uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.

If you can contribute any amount, large or small, it is sincerely appreciated and you can know it will go directly to the expenses associated with Joe’s journey to a new liver and a new life, and with your help, we hope to achieve that life-giving miracle.
