Hello everyone my name is John Lewis I’m 40 years old and I’ve been on dialysis for kidney failure for about 8 months.

I am a father to a beautiful girl in her second year of college and I enjoy movies and swimming. I work full time and spend most of my time off helping friends and family.

I am extremely thankful that I was recently accepted onto the kidney transplant list. As a requirement of being on the transplant list, I found a caregiver willing to take time out of their life (and off work) to help me recover. They will make sure I get to my doctor visits, take my medications, and follow doctor’s orders.

I’m reaching out to my friends, family, and community looking for donations to help cover my medical bills and expenses for me and my caregiver while I’m in the hospital and recovering.

I’ve chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because they fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
