Jonathan Johnson

On 2/8/24, my 12 year old son, Jonathan Johnson was crossing the street when he was struck by a car.

He was airlifted to the emergency room with multiple injuries to include a Diffused Axonal Brain Injury, a Fractured Tibia, Fibula, Pelvis, Scapula, and Mandibular. His Pelvis was fractured in three places and dislocated.
Jonathan has endured many surgeries and blood products. He remains in the hospital with complications with Hypertension and not able to bear any weight on his entire right side.
Jonathan is facing a long road to recovery due to this life altering circumstance. He will soon be discharged to home and continue outpatient therapy due to no being able to bear weight he is not able to do inpatient intensive rehab.

We will have many appointments which will require medical transport in and out of our 2nd floor apartment, as well as home health care which will be very costly. I have had to stop working in order to support my child and I have to move because there are no available units on the ground level to accommodate our situation.

On top of all the medical expenses we are facing financial hardship as well. Nevertheless Jonathan is a brave and resilient young man. He continues to be the happiest spirit he’s been before his accident. I just want to be able to create the best possible quality of life for the 3 of us. With the support of I and his little 10 year old sister he strives to be as strong as he can. We really would appreciate it if anyone has compassion for the situation and contribute to the cause. It would mean so much to be able to sustain the quality of life we were used to.
Mostly it will be a blessing for Jonathan to get the best rehabilitation therapy possible.
