My name is Jose F. Vasquez needing your assistance with health condition of a heart attack last year…

Had heart attack last year in August. It was what they called the widow maker, but by the grace of God I was given a second chance. Unfortunately, I have health issues because of it. I go to San Antonio for follow ups and procedures. I am not from the area so I have to travel 4 to 5 hours just for the appointments. In doing so I do miss days at work. I have had 2 procedures a, ICD implant and a Cordella. The Cordella monitors the pressures in my lungs. All this is in preparation of a Left Ventricular Assistive Device (LVAD) or a heart transplant. For the time being it is being handled with meds and constant monitoring. This puts me in a situation where I can’t afford the LVAD or Transplant procedures because I would have to stop work and have to relocate so they can keep my checkups and follow ups.

I had just gotten a job with the school district. A year in this happened.
Things were looking up. Still grateful to God that I am here. Not to sound like a cliché but this has helped me connect with my family at a deeper level and with my kids, a 21 year old beautiful young lady and a soon to be 17 year old handsome son. It really makes you reflect what is important in life and the things you took for granted are the most valuable. I would just like to be in their lives a little bit longer.

Your donations would go straight to relocation which would include doctor’s visits, follow ups, housing, utilities, food, and anything that might happen along the way and things that you would normally have in your own household. This would alleviate many situations and all donations go straight to the organization. The funds won’t be used until the situation arrives.
