Juana Hernandez

Dear Friends and Family,

Many of you know my loving wife Juana Hernandez. She is 34 years old and the proud mother of our 3 wonderful children, Maricruz, Alex, and Yahir. She is also the adoring grandmother of our 2 grandchildren. Our family means everything to her. She enjoys going to the park, watching movies, reading and spending time with all of the kids. Unfortunately now, Juana is not able to do as much for her children as she has been able to do in the past.

What you may not know is that Juana is in end stage renal failure. She is currently on dialysis three days every week. Her doctors at Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital & Medical Center have told us that her only option is a life-saving kidney transplant. This is a challenge we cannot meet alone and your help is desperately needed.

Not only is a transplant a major surgical procedure, it is also a very expensive procedure. Even with health insurance there are many costs associated with a transplant that must be paid for out of pocket. Some of these expenses are deductibles, co-pays, and Juana will be on a life time of anti- rejection medications.

A fundraising campaign has been established with HelpHOPELive (HelpHOPELive) in honor of Juana. HelpHOPELive is a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization that has been assisting the transplant community for over twenty-seven years. All contributions are administered by HelpHOPELive exclusively for uninsured transplant-related expenses. Donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
