I NEED YOUR HELP!!

I am not one to ask for help easily. I am reaching out to friends, family, and generous people like you. I appreciate all donations, no matter the size. Every little bit will help me get to my goal.

I have to go out of state for a kidney transplant. Even though I have been living with end-stage renal disease for most of my life, I’ve been able to accomplish a lot. I still have a lot I want to do; write a book, get my new business off the ground – a dream I’ve had for as long as I can remember.

I have fought my entire life to live as normal a life as possible. Despite being diagnosed at a young age, I was able to go to college, earn a business administration degree, a medical billing and coding degree. I currently work in health care, where I get to put smiles on patients’ faces. I have been an advocate most of my adult life for people living with kidney failure.

Because I have to go out-of-state for my treatment, my insurance doesn’t cover a percentage of the cost. I need money not only for medical expenses, transportation and housing close to the hospital for evaluation appointments prior to (hopefully) getting on the list, but also for the first 4-6 weeks after transplant. I will also need co-pays for anti-rejection medications and more.

My family and friends are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live in honor of me, Julie Crandall to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.

I chose to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors.
