My name is Justin and I’m 51 years old. I was diagnosed with kidney failure in October of 2021 due to secondary hypertensive neuropathy. Currently I am in dialysis three times a week for 5 hours each session and most days are okay but when I started dialysis I resented going on thedialysis machine. I really struggled with the changes I needed to make in my life to stay alive unfortunately I had the help of my wife Francis and our children.Over the years I have learned to cope with my illness most days by keeping a positive attitude by reminding myself that there are people who are much worse off than me out there on the days I struggle I think about things like I will be able to do after my kidney transplant I hope to be able to see my children have their own children and hope to do activities that I used to like hunting and fishing

I am currently on the waiting list for a kidney transplant with the University of Utah in Salt Lake City likely my expenses will include this surgery doctor’s appointments and traveling costs like gas food and lodging.
