Mother of a 5 year old found a kidney donor match! Please help her cover transplant surgery and medical expenses.

Please help our sister pay for medical expenses for her upcoming kidney transplant. A close childhood friend has selflessly volunteered to donate her kidney. Proceeds will help pay for uncovered medical costs.

Kaia has been on dialysis for over a year. Nearly 40% of dialysis patients pass away within 5 years. There is a 10 year waiting list for a kidney transplant. It’s a miracle that our family friend has stepped forward and is a match!

When she was 8 months old, our parents adopted Kaia from South Korea and she has a rare blood type. All of our family members applied for a donation but her siblings and parents were not able to help.

About Kaia: I’m a 38-year-old mother with a 5-year-old son that lives in Kenosha, Wisconsin. I’ve worked in the medical profession for most of my career. I’m in end stage renal failure due to Lupus — a disease caused by genetics and environment. I’m on dialysis 7 days a week while still working full-time at the hospital.
