GO Karla GO!

As you may know, our sister, Karla Jepson, suffered from the rupture of a ballooned blood vessel in her brain that has changed her life forever. On May 9, 2014 Karla had an aneurysm in her right temporal lobe followed by several mini-strokes that have left her paralyzed on her left side. She will forever be mentally impaired as well. She faces a future of obstacles due to the extent of her injury. Karla needs approximately 60 hours a week of private home health care in addition to 7 to 14 sessions per week of various forms of therapy. She is determined to improve and has amazing support from her family and her son, Jake.

Thankfully, Karla has health insurance, but not all of her medical expenses are covered and we must pay a significant amount out-of-pocket. Fees for her insurance, home health care, rehab, medication, and doctor visits are extremely high. In addition we are exploring other various therapies for traumatic brain injury and paralysis. She just started water therapy and loves it!
