Hello Friends and Family! I have embarked upon my liver transplant journey. I am now officially on the transplant list and will be searching for a Living liver donor.
To a give a little background, I have a rare genetic disease called Polycystic Liver Disease (PLD). This condition has no cure except for transplantation. My body grows cysts that take over all of the healthy tissue in my liver and fills my abdominal cavity. With the continual growth of my liver, my other organs are getting crushed and causing an increase in symptoms. My hepatologist and surgeon stated that it is time for me to look into transplantation as my symptoms will only continue to get worse and my condition to deteriorate.
