Family and friends of Katie Thompson are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a Catastrophic Illness. Katie has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.

Hi everyone! As many of you know my oldest child Katie was born at 24 weeks weighing 1 pound 9 1/2 ounces. She has been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy since she was 15-18 months old. She is now 20 years old, and I tore my bicep tendon sometime last year lifting her into the car. She is getting too big for me to lift and I’m getting too old. Not only that, as of July 1, 2024, Tram is no longer available in Madison County to transport her to any day program. That is where she wants to go to be social and become more independent. We have started Fundraising for a Wheelchair Accessible vehicle. Thank you all so much!! Anything helps!!!
