Keith Nealson

Keith is a man of many monikers: “Ranger Nealson,” “Dunstan,” and “Hevo’s Dad,” are a few of the titles he wears effortlessly. You may know Keith from the SCA, from his 25+ years working for North Carolina State Parks, or as your local Firefly Game Master and Durham resident Bard. However it is that you know and love Keith, we are happy you are here – and we are asking for your support!

Keith is battling Cirrhosis, or chronic liver failure. It is an extremely debilitating and painful disease, and requires an organ transplant. At this present time, we are looking at a dual-liver and kidney transplant.

 His medical and associated living costs are quite high while he awaits approval for the transplant list. Once he receives his transplant, he will need at least 8 weeks of 24/7 care. This disease currently prohibits him from working and even participating in many of the things he loves – kayaking, hiking, running with his dog Hevo, road-tripping to see family, hosting Bardic Circles… 

We are very excited for him to get back to all of those activities and more!

We are choosing to raise money via the nonprofit “Help Hope Live,” to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a Transplant.
