After a 17-year battle with lung disease my health has come to a critical point, and we need your help. The progression of the disease has caused my lower lungs to permanently collapse, and the disease has now advanced in the upper part and is beginning to affect my heart. My only chance of survival is a Lung transplant. We are reaching out to you, our family and friends, for help in raising money through the nonprofit HELP HOPE LIVE. Through HELP HOPE LIVE we hope to raise the vital funds for the transplant.

I have always been someone that will do anything for the people I love. I will go above and beyond for them, and anyone else that I feel needs my help. That hasn’t stopped because of my illness, if anything it has made me determined to do more. Well, at least it did up until the last several months when my disease has progressed extensively.

And while I have insurance there are many expenses that aren’t covered. Benji and I will have to relocate close to Duke Medical Center before I can actually be listed for the transplant. We will also have to stay for 3 to 6 months following the transplant. Unfortunately, we will have to cover our own housing, living expenses, relocating expenses and many other expenses while at the same time Benji will not be receiving his normal income.

We reached out to HELP HOPE LIVE, a wonderful nonprofit fundraising organization that has already helped so many transplant recipients. By making donations to HELP HOPE LIVE in my name you can help ease the financial burden of this transplant. This will allow me to concentrate on a healthy recovery and the renewed life ahead of me.
