Kelly Sharpe

Kelly has been battling his auto immune disease Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis since his symptoms first appeared in 2011. Kelly needs help to raise funds for a liver transplant.

Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis is a disease of the bile ducts in the liver. In 2011 he had a procedure that opened his bile ducts and he was doing good until 2013 when he got really ill and ended up having the left side of his liver removed and the bile ducts reconstructed due to the removal of the left side of his liver. The surgery seemed to help for a while but in 2020 the disease came back with a vengeance. He has been in and out of the hospital with blood infections and issues with the bile not draining. We have made many trips out of state to specialty hospitals to try to get the disease to slow down, however the disease has started to attack another part of his liver and he is now in need of a liver transplant.

Kelly has always been one to help others without asking for anything in return. Nothing asked of him was ever too small or too big of a task. He would pull over on the side of the freeway if he had seen someone in need of help. He has a big heart and never asks for help. Kelly is in need of help now to help raise money for his liver transplant. We are using the nonprofit Help Hope Live to help fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation which includes but not limited to, temporary housing for after surgery, food, medication, and the general cost of living from being away from home. The great thing about Help Hope Live, is if there are any funds left over that Kelly will no longer be using, they will go to another family in need.
