Ken Shuey

Family and friends of Ken Shuey are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a stroke.

I have chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.

The funds will be used to purchase a Wheelator Hybrid Walker/Wheelchair. It works as a regular walker and a motor assisted walker. It doubles as a motorized Wheelchair that I can sit in with 3 speeds forward and 1 backward. It will enable me to get to the road so that I can use the shuttlebus (they don’t go into driveways).

In short this device will allow me to be more independent as well as exercise and be less of a burden on my helpers. I will purchase a portable ramp for the chair. And also pay off some medical bills that have appeared since the stroke.

My doctors and physical therapists have all been enthusiastic about what this device can do for me.

I’m so grateful for this opportunity and I appreciate whatever amount you can contribute. It is a 100 % tax deduction for all donors. No amount is too small.
